Your Friends Will Like These: Blazer Envy

Blazer envy is here, and it's here to stay.

As we transition into the autumnal months, blazers are sure to become the firm favourite in our daily dressing. Whether fitted or relaxed, blazers add that tailored edge to any look to make it look chic and expensive, while being an uncomplicated outer layer.

There are several ways to style a blazer this season and finding the right shape and material for you is key to feeling as comfortable as you are stylish.

The Cropped or Short Length Blazer

A new way to wear a blazer? We think so. A cropped or short length blazer is perhaps for the bolder ladies, but they're not as hard to wear as you may first think. If you're happy to show off your hips, opting for a shorter length blazer can really highlight your shape in a feminine way. Pair a sugar pink style with a white tee and ecru denim jeans for a look that's perfect for those moments when you finally reunite with the girls over brunch. Or if a bolder colour won't make you shy away, a cobalt blue or racing red number are perfect to inject that statement colour to turn heads. Team with a white or black bodysuit and a pair of fitted jeans, and finish off the look with your jewellery of choice and a pair of coloured heels. You also can't go wrong with a black blazer, and the cropped length gives the staple black blazer an upleveled twist. Style just like the other options with denim and a bodysuit for an effortless yet put-together outfit.

The Bouclé Blazer

If there's one trend to nail this season, it's the bouclé blazer. The new staple in town. Classic with a hint of that Chanel tweed vibe, the bouclé blazer is the blazer you need if you're taking your daytime outfit to nighttime. If you're going from office to after-work drinks, a baby blue hue is sweet enough for a put-together professional look that's still stylish, and will wow later on in the evening when dressed up with a heel. Coming in hot in four colours, this Threadbare bouclé blazer is here for you not matter your outing. Leggings and tee on the school run? Check. Shopping with your mum on a Saturday morning? Check. Once-in-a-blue-moon date night with your partner? Check.

The Open Blazer

After a blazer without an awkward front fasten? Then here is the style for you. With a larger, more open revere collar, this regular fit blazer is cut in a regular length making it perfect for everyday wear. Military style metallic buttons spice it up a bit, and tone match your jewellery with the buttons to bring the look together. Whether over a knitted dress, a satin dress or a basic tee and blue jeans, an open blazer can be thrown-on and trusted upon to look good in all situations.

The Sleeveless Blazer

Wear into Winter by layering over a knitted jumper. Make it office-appropriate layered over a blouse and team with a smart pair of trousers.
